It's a generic guitar stand. That's it. Nothing special, nothing magical. It's cheap, and should be sold cheap. And it is, frankly, insulting that you post here offering a 'discount' in exchange for reviews.

So, let me be completely open with you here. By rights this thread should be removed, but I think it would be far more entertaining to leave it open and see what sort of response it gets from the members.

And to get things rolling... My review.

Hey!! It's a cheap guitar stand. Pretty much like any cheap guitar stand I see in any guitar shop. It does nothing new, it does nothing special, and it's the sort of thing that shops chuck in as a freebie because it's just too cheap to bother about. Of course, I do have some proper guitar stands that I use. Proper guitar stands are important because you trust valuable instruments to them. They do an important job. And that's why I won't be replacing any of my guitar stands with this rubbish.

Quote zenguitar:

Nothing special, nothing magical.

You're not looking close enough Andy - how many other guitar stands have, quote: "Non-slip rubble end caps on feet" ?

Perfect for those building-site gigs when the venue's not quite finished yet...

Are these available in the UK?

Andy, I think your attitude on this is terrible, considering I am also going to be offering 2 specialist guitar related products, labour saving devices.

My first is a mechanically advance tool that uses the principal laws of physics to aid the guitarist in changing strings. It will enable few limb movements and as such provides amazing health benefits for the end user. I am going to be offering it in a variety of colours, including black, orange and yellow and I believe it will be THE indispensable tool of the future. I will be calling this device the "Tuning Peg Gear Ratio Minimalisation Winder".

My next item is genius. No longer will guitarists HAVE to use fingers to pluck strings, utilising only the wrist and and my device, a perfectly engineered piece of geometrically accurate plastic. This device will catch the string as the wrist moves, creating the necessary vibrations needed to make the guitar come to life. I am going to call this the "PluckStrum".

Final details and patents have not been yet finalised (in truth I am a little nervous in revealing these closely guarded details on a public forum for fear of industrial espionage), but I hope that when I bring these products to market I am received with a little bit more courtesy.

Tee hee snigger!! The phrase 'Be careful what you wish for' has never been more apt!

My review;
cheap, nasty, barn door engineering.

I've seen better failed GCSE technology projects!

I was given a second hand stand of that design as a freebie when I bought a second hand bass once. Horrid thing. The swiveling part was the worst of it (you want a stand to be stable - this one wasn't). Threw it out almost immediately. It would seem they can't even give them away.

Bought one like that years back in Lidl. Sent it to the charity shop in the end.
