Does anyone known if CHD is still making the SGUS-3 and (if so) what sort of price?

I have sent an email but no answer as of yet.

To answer my own post it seems (email received) that the SGUS-3 is no longer available. What a terrible pity? Why is midi guitar such a poor man's relation in the world of music? The more I think about this the more weird it seems (to me) to be. Weird, weird, weird...and weird again.

Does anyone know an electroncis expert who can build such a device?

You could try Orchid. I agree midi guitar is a bit neglected, however, have you heard about the new Fishman Triple play ?

Indeed, I have heard about Triple Play and eagerly await its arrival on the guitar to midi scene. However, many questions remain unanswered re its tracking etc (the videos show the usual 1000 notes per second speed nonsense without vibrato / bends or "pad" patch use) although because it is Axon derived - to tell the truth - I think the tracking will probably be fine. The bigger question for me is its connectability to hardware synths / hardware midi / 13 pin gear as initially it seems to be orientated to softsynth / DAW use. But for all my doubts, it is an exciting development and I have no doubt that I will procure once it is out and available and Fishman are promising further developments.

I'll look up Orchid.

Cheers!

On the matter of the Fishman Triple Play it seems that there might be some delay:
