Schematics help: have a look over this?
      #988307 - 18/05/12 11:14 PM
Hi all,

18 months ago I wired my bass with a four position rotary pickup selector switch to give myself the options of neck only - parallel - bridge only - series. Since then, I don't think I've used the parallel position! My pickups in series sound so much fuller and just great - albeit a little too bassy - which will come into play later...

With this in mind, and a preference for toggle pickups switches, I'd like to rewire my bass again, this time with a toggle switch giving me neck only - series - bridge only. However, I also want to include a bass cut pot on the series position - but only on the series position! Using a switch like this, I've sketched up this schematic.

Do you think this will work?

Thanks!

Yes that should be fine.

Incidentally, I'm assuming the bass cut has something like a series cap and parallel pot, in which case you need to make sure the cap goes to the switch and the junction of it and the pot go to the jack.

(Well, actually, it probably was)

Hmmm, actually, thinking about it, that bass cut is probably NOT like that. It's more likely to be two resistors forming a Y with the pot to ground, and a cap going across the top... in which case it'll be symmetrical.
