tft monitor for atari ste - some advice please

Hi,

I'm returning to the atari (cubase 3/midex+) fold, and would like to use a 19" 4:3 or 5:4 aspect TFT monitor.
I'm new to TFTs, and don't know if all vga-input equipped monitors will do the job.

Will they? Or are some more equal than others?

(Any experience-based recommendation wil be very welcome)

Hi Colin,
there has been some discussion about this on various Atari user forums, and the general concensus seems to be that they work fine.
Barrie at Keychange can give more info, as usual -he makes the adaptor leads for using your Atari with a big monitor. In fact, if there's anyone out there still using Atari monitors, throw them away and get a VGA monitor (of whatever persuasion) -your eyesight will thank you!

Lots of Ataris which keep on going, 12 Kurzweil 1000 modules, a bunch of hardware synths. Still recording to tape -the old ways are best.....
