Since the forum pointed out a good deal on Alchemy recently, I thought I'd return the
favor.
I don't know if Dontcrack.com is a reputable company, or if Nomad
Factory products are any better than the plugs that come with a DAW, but I just ran across
a great offer for a complete set of tools.
47 plugs (I think their whole line)
for $398.
The interfaces are stunning and SOS gave some of their earlier
products positive reviews several years ago. There are lots of new products and the older
ones have received updates.
Anyway, FYI if you have interest. Should be great
for someone just starting out or on a budget or feeling curious.
Cheers!

PS: I've been curious about Nomad Factory for some time, so any feedback on their latest
products and versions would be most welcome.
Happy Recording!

I tried out the "blue tubes" a while ago, they weren't anything for me. But as said, it
was a while ago..
I think they still have some sort of tryout demo though for
most of their plugins.

reviews of the Nomad plugins are few and far between. I found a couple of america reviews
which where not favourable to say the least, but thats just one or two peoples opinion..
If the hardware emulations are as good as they say, the bundle will be worth
every penny. if they're average, you could get better for free. ( check the free plug-in
thread in the mac forum ).
If I was spending that amout of money, Id be heading
for Stillwell audio or Steve Massey's site, both of which have a great collection of
plugins ( depending on your DAW ) that would cost you about the same as the Nomad bundle
.

While we're on it it's worth vising Ohm Force as they have recently reduced prices and are offering great
bundle deals.

Yeh, I've looked for NF reviews and there is precious little. I've fished around a couple
of times here on the forum and have not generated much response and even less enthusiasm.
So there we have it. Sometimes it's best to understand the meaning of silence.
BTW, OhmForce and Stillwell always do seem to get
positive comments.
Cheers

Actually, I featured the Nomad Retrology and Studio Essentials in my latest book and I
liked them. For the money and for specific plugins they are good.
The Motown EQ
worked well on drum sounds and the Essential compressor worked perfectly well.

Ah, Zukan . . . you've been hiding. Thanks for chiming in. Good to hear something
positive. It's hard to tell where these products fit in the quality continuum. They have
a stunning look, but of course that's only eye candy.
