Hi
Recently my Behringer DDX3216 has stopped recognizing the ADT1616 card. All
it says in the I/O section of the desk is "No Module". I. know it's not a problem with my
DIGI9636 soundcard or computer since they are both brand new.
I've taken the
ADT1616 out and put into the 2nd module slot but still the desk doesn't recognize it. I
have also put the desk back to its factory settings with no joy.
Has anyone
experienced anything similar and can suggest what could be wrong? Is it likely that it's a
fault with the ADT1616 or the mixer? The little red lights still show up from the 'Out'
slots by the way so it does sort of acknowledge its there!
Please help!! Simon

I'd perform a factory reset, and then reload the latest BIOS, all of my DDX's have had
similar niggles and in all but one instance the reset did the job. The other instance, the
DDX was scraped.

It's the firmware, V1.09, which
is the last version that Behringer did. The instructions are in the ZIP file and it's
quite straightforward too.

Hi, sadly I keep getting this screen on the DDX3216 after I install the file across via
MIDI. "Error - Couldn't save the file due to No Valid Card".
Have you ever seen
this before and what does it mean? I haven't changed anything on my desk previously so
it's all news to me! I did the factory reset prior to the installation.
Thanks

You need the memory card installed to
update the BIOS.
I haven't had your issue but I have had a few bizarre errors,
that appeared from nowhere, and they were sorted by a reset.

Hmmmm I've done the factory reset a couple of times with no problem. How do I install the
memory card or is that something that should happen automatically after the factory reset?

I was being a bit stupid and not transfering it over to the internal card. Whoops! Anyway,
I loaded it up properly and still it doesn't recognize the ADT1616. Totally stumped now.
I'm guessing either the card or desk is broken.

It might be the card, BUT, it's going to be an expensive test as ridiculously
people want £200-£250 just for the card. You might think you can buy a new one, try it,
and if it's not the card you can re-list and get your money back, but the ADAT cards take
months and months to sell.
I have a DDX3216, which I know works perfectly, so
you can send me the card and I'll test it.

I rang the official Behringer out of warranty service company yesterday to see if they
would be able to look into it. They said that they've never had to fix a broken ADT1616
card before and advised that 2nd hand is really the only way forward. They've never had
any of the parts to fix one. That's what I feared they'd say.
A friend of mine
who recommended the DDX3216 in the first place is coming by to pick the ADT1616 off me at
the end of the week to test on their desk. I'm really hoping it is the card and not the
desk that's broken. Either way it's going to be expensive. Thanks for your advice and
for the offer to test the card. I'll keep you posted!
Cheers, Simon
