Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if a plug-in exists which emulates an analog radio
being tuned-in? I'm putting togther a showreel and quite fancied the idea of separating
the tracks with this sort of effect.
Cheers, Glenn

Maybe, but why not just record an actual radio being tuned in, or use a sample of the real
thing? It's easier... you could start with a search at Freesound, where there are certainly some such samples.

There's a freeware vst called Mr alias that you can create similar sounding things with a
little playing. Also great for other sound effects and weird tones/drones squeels

That's probably what I will end-up doing but just thought would ask if a plugin existed
first. I know Stylus RMX has some radio samples so could crossfade them in and out.

I'd search for royalty free smaples for that kinda thing myself. there are loads of sites
that do sound effect samples. you may find what your looking for.

Done it myself - just tuned in a real radio scan, recorded & mixed it in with the mix
- canny beat the real thing!! (I bet some idiot will come along & say i've ripped
off a second of someones track & say thats not allowed because i've not got sample
clearance blah blah. . .). Go ahead - just plug a radio into yer mixer & record
it!! Forget "plugins" for this . . . . just do it.
