Hey Soundheads,

Put together a remix/mashup with the vocals from "like a g6" along with the bass and drums from another track, using my own creativity in the arrangement and fx and some slicing and dicing mostly. It's the first thing i put together so i wanted some feedback from you guys...do you think i could have done some things better, like the arrangement and fx?

any particular areas that could be easily improved? also let me know if you like anything in particular about the track, positive feedback is useful too!

It feels a little over done to me. "Like a G6" must be said 100 times to the point of annoyance. Its the same all way through also.

To be honest mate it reminds me of Jive Bunny. As such this track would probs be thought of cool back in the late 80s when anything with a sampler stuttering on it sounded ace, Even max headroom, but things have moved on.

Also did you add any original content of your own? Or Are you just firing loops over the top of a filtered original? It sounds like a load of loops to me but maybe not? Just remember, if its all loops nothing there is going to make you stand out from what the next guy can do. Anyone with a DAW and as fist full of loops can put together tracks these days, but in the end they all equal mediocre music. To stand out take so much more.

Are you a serious musician or just having a little fun? Is this your first composition? If it is its not that bad really. But have another go.

Sorry I hate to be negative but remember this is only my view. Perhaps others may come forward who like it. Music is all down to taste I suppose and to be fair to you, as much as I love House Music, this isn't to my taste at all.

Mind considering how much I disliked the original, I doubt a mix could exist I would like.
