Hi guys,
Borrowed a KP3 of my mate. It seems quite cool but for the life of
the I cant work out how to do this or if its even possible.
I sample a 4 bar
loop. Great. Now I sample another 3 and place them all on pads 1 - 3. Again
great.
But trying to play them back in sync is impossible. No matter how good
at timing you are human error means at least one loop is always going to be out.
Now, on Ableton Live you can press when you like and it quantises so the loops starts
next time around so you cant F it up even if you try.
How do I implement such
a thing on the KP3? It MUST have this feature surely?]

Hi Richie.
hmmm, its a start I suppose. Was hoping this could be done live
though. IE you hit the pad on beat 3 of a 4 beat bar and the sample doesn't start playing
until 1 of the next bar.
This and the fact it doesn't have 4 outputs seem
glaring omissions to me.

You could try triggering it through Ableton Live:
Put the appropriate MIDI note
on the first beat of a Clip, and trigger the clip with whatever quantise you want to set
in Ableton. So you push the button on your Ableton control surface, or mouse, or
whatever, and the clip will launch at the next quantised interval, triggering the Kaoss
Pad at the same time.
Thanks. I do weddings and bar mizvahs as well.
