Crazy MIDI to CV convertor. Any suggestions before hitting it with hammer?

Hey guys,
My Kenton Pro 1 mk 1 convertor from way back is acting bizzarly.
Wonderign if anyone can offer any advice if they have had a similar experience.
MPC midi out to Kenton Pro1 in, Kenton Midi thru to synth 2.
I can play synth
2 fine, no probs at all. Synth 2 being the one on the thru channel, if anything I thought
this would have been the problematic.
However my kenton'd synth synth 1 plays
fine for 5 seconds then stops for 5 more then plays for 30 seconds then stops for 5
seconds. Of course these times are note typical, more using an example of how it works
fine then stops then starts again without touching it.
Midi in dot flashes
even when silent so its getting a midi signal when it drops out. Im guessing its not the
midi end of things and more the CV side.
Anyone know a simple fix I dont know
about?

Sounds like the Kenton has lost its CV settings. I can't remember if it uses a backup
battery for memory, or what. What's synth 1? Check that the Kenton is sending the right
flavour of gate and CV.

Hello mate. Thanks for reply and trying to help.
I found the problem. Stupid
owner syndrome. I had the envelope set to the arp and the arp slider at minimum :-/
