Releasing a single on bandcamp

Hi all
I've decided to release my 2nd album on bandcamp instead of going
through a label this time.
I'm new to self releasing...what do I have to do to
ensure I receive the royalties when played on radio etc. Obviously I'll register the song
with PRS but just wondered if I need any codes etc...
Thanks for any help

ISRC codes, contact PPL to get them:

The codes need to be embedded in the audio files. A mastering engineer can do this, as
can some mastering-style software (eg. Wavelab 7).

Ok, thanks. Do I have to provide the radio stations with anything special in order to
receive the right PRS?

Yeah, just tell them
you're Adele.

Nope, you don't have to tell the radio station anything (except for what Feline says).
You should join PPL as well as PRS if you really think you're going to get played
a lot on the radio. They deal with performance royalties (as opposed to songwriting
royalties, which is PRS).
Note that you don't have to join PPL to get the
ISRC codes, and they will send them to you quickly once you ask. (Or, rather, they will
send you a code for your 'label', which you then use to construct your own code for each
track).

Can I hijack slightly
When you set up your label, can you just make
that up, or does it have to be registered company etc.....
Thanks

So what happens tax wise, assuming you make any sales ?
Does it not
have to be a registered company or something this.
Or is it related to an
individual and therefore covered / included in their individual tax position
