Animators : how much and where from ?
      #1072855 - 02/11/13 12:34 AM
I am interested in having an animation for a track to accompany and compliment a track I would like to put on YouTube ?

I know nothing of this world - any ideas on how much and where from ?

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish you might check Motion Loops. I use them a lot for videos for YouTube.

What sort of animation? 2D? Cell? Computer3D? Stop motion? It's a bug bear of animators to all be lumped in together. And they are different disciplines involving different skill sets, all of which command different rates and time consumption.

As I said, 'I know nothing of this world...' so this is a helpful start...

Ok,

Do you have any ideas in minds as to how you want it to look?

Could you reference any existing looks/styles you envisage for your track?

It's a bit like asking "Musicians - where and how much" I'm looking for some music for an animation. It's a pretty broad question. If you only speak to guitarists for the music you'll get guitar music, which is ok if you want guitar music and not a gregorian throat warbling violinist!!
