Ableton suite samples: Proprietary?

Hi, new here, so pardon's if I'm in the wrong place. I have ableton 8 suite but I prefer using Digital Performer and mach 5. I'm also a tad dense on samples, but I think I have a better chance of comprehending Mach 5, so I wonder if it's possible to use my ableton suite samples in mach 5 or is the ableton suite a proprietary format of some kind? I have cdxtract if that helps. Any hints are appreciated.
