Hi there, Is there any way of using the Sibelius 7 Orch library (ideally as an
instrument plugin) in Logic?

I'm afraid the short answer is "no".
So's the long one, come to that.
I don't think you're looking for what Rewire does?

I've never used Sibelius, but I imagine its sounds can be triggered via midi.
In which case, presumably you can use the Mac's internal midi bus (IAC) to route midi
from Logic to Sibelius.
At a guess:
- switch IAC on in
Audio/Midi Setup
- set Logic to output midi to IAC
- set Sibelius to receive
from it
(if Sibelius works like Logic, and simply receives from all midi
ports simultaneously, then the latter step won't be needed)

No. Sibelius is a score publisher, with
SOME sequencer features. MIDI input is on a single channel, for the purpose of capturing
notation from a keyboard or other MIDI controller.
You COULD prepare MIDI
tracks in Logic, export a MID file and open it in Sibelius. Then Rewire Sibelius' audio
output back to Logic. But I think this is far from what's required here.

Ah right. It sounds like we could route one midi channel from Logic. But, for orchestral
arrangements, that might be a bit limiting...
