Weird controller keyboard behaviour
      #784784 - 04/11/09 09:23 PM

Ok, so a bought a CME controller keyboard as quick replacement after my trust old controller died.

I have since bought another keyboard ( an M-audio 88 note jobby. ) and decided to sell the CME.

So I left it with a friend to see if suited their needs and I got call stating it was faulty.
This is an almost new keyboard - so I am bit shocked and just tiny bit er,
fed up.

Turns out is works perfectly in Logic ( and PT )
- but in garage band, 7 notes don't work,
This is now tested on 4 Macs, using a piano patch.

Has anyone else experienced this ??
Is there a reason why ?
Is there a cure ?

If it 'works perfectly in Logic and PT', then surely there's nothing wrong with it - don't you think?

Which 7 notes don't work in Garageband? - it could just be that someone's set up a keyboard split by mistake, so those 7 notes are sending out on a different midi channel or something...

Scope,

There were quite a few issues with the drivers for the CME keyboards. I was looking at getting one a while back and after doing some research, decided against it. That said, it is strange the problem only happens in Garageband.
