Hi there. Most hubs will probably work with Macs these days. Personally, I've had good
experience with Belkin hubs. I use them exclusively. If you are planning on connecting
drives to the hub, make sure it is a powered one.

Pls don't add a soundcard to a hub - it almost certainly won't work. You actually
sometimes need to pick the best USB port on your mac (particularly true of macbooks) as
even though there are separate physical ports they share b/w internally. It is fine to
share printers, software dongles, and USB sticks - general purpose disc drives may work
although even then be careful when streaming audio.
