Blurred Win7 Fonts

I have been using Win7 for a while now, and am happy with it - except, some apps have all the fonts displayed fuzzy/blurred. I have tried all sorts of settings, including cleartype - which seemed to make things less clear.

I have a Dell 2903W monitor, which for example displays the SOS website really clear, desktop icons etc, pin sharp.

But some other sites, and apps, for example the MySQL Workbench is awful, in fact XP was better and more consistent.

Any ideas anyone?
