Ivy Bridge-E coming
      #1052493 - 14/06/13 11:17 AM
Well, it looks pretty definite now. Still on X79 chipset. Chips will be i7-4820K, i7-4930K and i7-4960X.

There'll also be a new Haswell locked quad-core CPU released then (ie. Q3), called the i4771, which it is speculated may have more graphics power and maybe a few other improvements (but this is distinct from the 'Haswell refresh' which is expected in 2014).

Haswell-E, possibly arriving second half of 2014, looking good according to these rumours (which may of course be unreliable): 8 cores, DDR4 at 2133 (or higher if you overclock), new chipset codenamed Wellsburg, up to 10 6Gb SATA ports, 40 lanes of PCI-e (same as Ivy-E). No integrated graphics.

The's something in that spec that hasn't been confirmed yet that making me question that leak.

I'm not saying flat out that it's wrong, just something in that spec list doesn't add up given the infomation that's been circulated by Intel already. That said however it isn't unlike Intel to changes specs when development dicates this early in the cycle.

Yes, it may be BS as the author is described as a third-year engineering student, it says nothing about its sources, and the graphics look like they've been mocked up to look like Intel slides but aren't quite right.
