Audio Lanes in Cubase 5

After i've recorded using loopback how can i get the editor to display lanes?
At the mombnt to do this i have to use "Create events to part" and then click regions.
What i want is, to click on the recorded part in the project window and have the editor display the lanes straight away.
I'm sure the old versions of Cubase did this automatically.
Also what happened to the ghost parts.?
