WAV to MP3
      #994891 - 26/06/12 08:07 PM
Good evening,

I'm looking for a simple wav to mp3 converter that has a batch convert function. I do have Wavelab but I'm looking for a small program that I can run on my laptop that is simple and quick to use. I've had a good look on the net but wondered if anyone has any further advice on this.

Thanks

I've always used the Razorlame front end that comes with the Windows version of the Lame encoder.

with wavelab you can use the software dongle version
so you don't have to take your hardware dongle with you

Doesn't support as many formats as switch by the look of it but Wav - MP3 is one of them. Tiny, simple but still with enough features to make it more than usable with no install reqired.

Only for add one more. I've used dBpoweramp Music Converter because has a good integration on the file navigator as right click shortcuts, convert from CD, edit ID tags, lots of codecs, and the best it uses one native core for every track (on my computer means 12 tracks on 34")

It's very useful for massive encoding, the only "problem", it's a paid software

Regards!

Foobar converts very quickly and in a friendly manner.

I've recently been playing and converting to 320k AAC instead of my usual 320k MP3. Technically superior (alegedly). I'm telling myself I can hear a difference but part of that might be the tightwad in me enjoying the fact that it's a smaller filesize than the equivalent MP3

Why not itunes? It's Free

Create a playlist.
Copy as many songs as you want to convert to create the list

Select File>Create new version>Create MP3 Version
