Pro Tools Waveform too Small
      #995777 - 02/07/12 03:15 PM
Hi all

When I record my guitar, the waveform is very small.

Could someone please tell me how I can make it bigger?

Thanks

Alan

We all thought it... but only one broke ranks and posted it!

..and for the OP:

Either you are recording at too low a level, or you may need to use zoom to see more detail in the waveform.

Do your recordings play back at a reasonable level?

Or expand the track vertical scaling?

What do your recording input meters say?

In the top left part of the screen there's a little waveform icon which lets you zoom in or out in terms of the size of the waveform.

Your meters should be around half way up in terms of recording level.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes the playback is at an acceptable level.

The meters go just past half way.

It was the Zoom control I was looking for, expanding the track is
no good,it doesn't go far enough.
