      #1001015 - 01/08/12 01:23 AM
Platinum Samples have just released 6 new expansion kits for Cakewalk SONAR Session Drummer 3.

Formatted for Cakewalk Session Drummer 3 in unprecedented detail with up to 19 velocity levels and 4 round robin samples per level. Each kit is available for download now at $39.95

Evil Joe Barresi Kit 1

Recorded by world famous recording engineer Joe Barresi whose credits include Tool, Bad Religion, Soundgarden, Wolfmother & Queens of the Stone Age. Evil Joe Barresi Kit 1 was recorded to analog 2" tape at Grandmaster Recorders, Ltd in their concrete room through their classic Neve 8028 console. Expertly tuned, the drums were played by Bobby Jarzombek (Halford).

Evil Joe Barresi Glamouflage Kit

Recorded by world famous recording engineer Joe Barresi (Tool, Bad Religion, Wolfmother, Soundgarden & Queens of the Stone Age), the Evil Joe Barresi Glamouflage Kit was recorded to analog 2" tape at Sound City Studios through their classic Neve 8028 console. Expertly tuned, the drums were played by Bobby Jarzombek (Halford).

The Glamouflage Kit has been fully mix processed through Joe's SSL console and personal outboard gear.

Jim Scott Kit 1

One of L.A.'s most respected producers, engineers and mixers — and one of the busiest — Jim Scott has built his rep off of crisp, live-off-the-floor sounds and attendant good vibes. Scott picked up his first Grammy in 1995 for engineering Tom Petty's Wildflowers, scoring two more for his work with Santana on Supernatural and the Foo Fighters' One By One. In 2007, he doubled his Grammy total, scoring a hat trick for his recording of the Dixie Chicks milestone Taking the Long Way. (Bud Scoppa, Mix Magazine July 2007)

Kit 1 is one of Jim's own personal Ludwig drum kits and was recorded at Jim's own PLYRZ Studios through his Neve 8048 console.

Jim Scott Brush Kit

Recorded by 6 time Grammy winning Recording Engineer Jim Scott, the Brush Kit is one of Jim's own personal Ludwig drum kits and was recorded at Jim's own PLYRZ Studios through his Neve 8048 console. The Brush Kit includes long and short brush sweeps as well as a cowbell.

Rock Legends Kits 1 & 2

Recorded by Grammy nominated recording engineer Rail Jon Rogut whose credits include Meshell NDegeocello, Ry Cooder and Michael Jackson. This Session Drummer 3 expansion kit was recorded via a classic Neve 80 series console, Sontec Equalizers and a Fairchild 670. Microphones used included Telefunken ELA M 251's on the Overheads and the Floor Toms, AKG C12A's on the Rack Toms & Neumann M49's on the Stereo Room.

Available as two separate expansion kits or bundled together: Rock Legends Kit 1 is a natural ambient kit with a shank style Hihat. Rock Legends Kit 2 is a tighter, less roomy version of the kit with a different Crash 1, tip style Hihat and additonal EQ on the Kick, Snare & Toms with compression added to the Toms. The individual price of the Rock Legends Kits is $39.95 but the 2 kits can be bought together for $49.95
