Anyone using K-metering for ITB metering? If so which plugin do you use? I am going to
purchase either the Great River Mixmaster 20 or Shadow Hills Equinox for analogue summing
mixer. Will the summing mixer make K-Metering an non issue?
K-metering is just a set of alternative meter scales with varying headroom margins -- 20,
14 and 12dB of headroom for the K-20, K-14 and K-12 scales, respectively. The mixing
technology is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is the destination you're mixing for
and the average loudness you're aiming to achieve.
