Using Markers in Adobe Audition

Hi. I've divided a long string of sounds using markers, expecting to be able to chop them
into separate audio files.
It seems this can only be done with ranges, but I
only know how to convert a marker to a range individually.
I simply want to
turn all distances between all markers into ranges. Most other programs I've used have a
'markers to regions' option.
I spent 2 hours placing these markers, so if
there's any other way around it I'd be glad of the advice. If audition can't do this, can
the markers be exported for use in other programs (like Soundforge or Wavelab)?
Also, is there a way to fade the audio slightly at each side of the markers?

I was in two minds about using AA for this, but I thought it inconceiveable that it
wouldn't be possible. Sometimes it's just better to stick with what you know.
