Feedback to Never look back

I found an old song (maybe 5 years?) and hope you are in the mood to give a feedback concerning:

2. production/arrangement
3. mix
4...?

Is it worth to develop this idea further, refresh it, change it?????

I know 5 years ago I didn't know as much about mixing

and I don't know if I know much more now

The song is OK. It very much reminds me of something I used to hear echoing from the rehearsal rooms next door down in Sheffield city centre (i.e. Human League/Heaven 17-ish) while we were practicing our prog licks!

It's well engineered, but the song doesn't really have a hook, and the vocals could be better. With the best will in the world I'd say let that one go and put what you've learned to a new song or two.

As the song says - "Never Look Back" ! It sounds cluttered to me, no direction
