Robots Singing Led Zeppelin - Looking for Mix Critique
      #1057017 - 12/07/13 04:35 AM
Hi All:

I've got a cover of "Immigrant Song" that's...well, it's sung by robots. Just like it says on the tin.

I'd love to get some input/perspectives on my first pass at a serious mix of the track, if anyone's interested and has a minute. Here's the link:

Immigrant Song

Frankly, I've been working on this one for a while, and if it's got a few things that need small improvements, that's OK. Just wondering if people hear any showstoppers (that I don't notice anymore because I've been mixing it forever and my critical distance is gone!).

Thanks in advance for taking the time to check this out, and for any and all comments!

Nice productions and ideas - here are my thoughts:

Hats - timing (on intro mostly) - this spoils and almost lovely feel

All Vocals - too quite

Nice Guitars and groove

Sounds bass light to me

Like the vibe

Well, your robots don't really sound like robots.

"Robert's singing Led Zeppelin". That'd be good!

Thx for listening, y'all.

I guess I should have clarified that these are mostly backup robots, not lead robots. But they are there.

Also forgot to mention before that I'm aware that the toms are completely ridiculous.

Any other input? Thanks!

For anyone who might come across this and be interested, the original link doesn't work anymore. Try this one instead:

As always, thanks for checking this out!
