Babyface and HD650
      #1060480 - 03/08/13 09:04 AM
Hi there

I'm considering downgrading my Fireface 800 for a Babyface ..... Reasons are USB connectivity to my laptop, portability, and the fact that I've never really used more than 2 in and 2 out at once.

But I've heard it won't drive my HD650s well. Does anyone know of a cost effective solution to this? I've considered the idea of also getting a focusrite VRM but perhaps that won't drive the HD650s either?!

I use the Hd650s for mixing, I have DT50s (?) for tracking which I presume the babyface will drive ok.

Thanks for any advice

Steve

I use the Babyface and HD600 'phones and have no problem with driving them

Hi Steve,

I've got a foscusrite VRM box that i'd be open to offers on, my HD650s have always worked perfectly with it. I just find it overkill after getting hold of some decent monitors and a mono reference speaker.

Cheers,

Dave
