Simple question. I have KRK Rokit 5 monitors... and they seem to be
at very very slightly different volumes. Is this something that usually needs to be

noticed this problem with these monitors before.
I've owned them for three years
and know them pretty well.
I've never used them in a room like the
one I'm currently in.
My previous rooms were treated sparsely. This room is
different and better.
Basically In my new flat I've been able to take up the whole
large lounge area as a listening and mixing space (I live with my drummer and his kit is
in here too, so no one is complaining)
I have more space, I've bought a lot
more proper bass traps and other treatment than I used to have.
I believe I
have put the listening position, the desk, the monitors and all the treatment in the very
best places they can be in.
The room sounds brilliant.
But I do
hear a very very subtle difference in the volume between the two monitors.
I just hearing my sub-par monitors finally for what they are?
Or could it be
Could it be my monitor volume controller (a Nano Patch)?
I know this is difficult to answer.
I have adjusted the volumes
to match (Via the knobs on the back of the monitors) (and using a decibel meter to measure
I'm happy with how it sounds now... but intrigued as to what might
be going on.
Any assistance or comment would be welcomed.
