It's been a while since I posted on here asking for comments so I thought I'd put up my
newest completed project.

Please tell me
what you think.
Merci.

Hi Freya, Just listened ,and as before you have some interesting ideas. My only issue I
guess, but it is a biggy, is the flow of the piece. I love hypnotic stuff, which I think
you nod towards, however because the vocals are not repetitive , there is little to take
you on a journey with the words. So my summation would say that the backing will work but
with a far floatier vocal (if that makes sense), but as it stands there needs to be some
more light and shade to support your words. However, still 1000 times more interesting
than most crap that calls itself music. Dave

I think I understand what you mean. I
might try something a little less wordy next time, focus more on the sound of the words
than on what they actually mean... expression of sound rather than definition.

Yeah, although I think you could go both ways..more hard edged production/arrangement with
those current words and delivery or , as you imply, sink into the sound more with your
voice...only don't go too Enya!! Dave

Hahaha that's too funny, Enya is
exactly what I was thinking.

Hello Freya, You remind me a bit a band from my youth: Siouxsie and the
Banshees , but that's a long time ago... I agree with Dave. I think you
could also try to mix your voice less "in your face" and a little bit more towards the
background. Then the other instruments will start to play a bigger role in the
composition. Besides that: my compliments! Dark and refreshingly original

No worries Dave... I just put the 'mix' icon-thingy on so that people would know it's a
song for comment. Didn't change the text in any way. Was hoping
that it would put it on all the posts in the thread, but it didn't...

I know Siouxsie and the Banshees and
that song in particular is one of my favorites.

Oh, that's what that icon is for. Sorry I
didn't put it on the initial post!

Feel free to change my text anytime Mike...I
thought that someone had finally intervened to raise my IQ somewhat. Dave

i quite like it there's a lot I don't like - i don't like the weakness of the
snare....i think the overall backing could do with 'ballsing' up a bit and there is too
much going on with the vocals but i love the 80's kinda synthy
sounds...i love the melody and i love the structure of the backing a few
slightly harder edged (but still electronic sounding) snares and a little less words and
I'd really like it...and maybe a bit better balancing of the backing to vocals - the
backing track is quite weak (in volume, not necessarily execution) IMvHO
