move automation with cut and paste in logic e8

hi.

can anyone tell me how to include automation when cutting / moving regions?

for context, i'm working on a track where the guitarist has 'gone a bit gilmour' all over the song so i want to cut about 24 bars out of the solo. I've successfully done this, but my automation hasn't moved with the regions.

can i set up for the automation to move with the cuts?
or if i can't, is it possible to move it all back simultaneously for every track? some tracks have more than one element of automation so don't all show up at once.
