I could go on all day as I'm a synth slut, but apparently I have to work. Wife says it would be nice to eat meat this month.
tell that lazy cow to strap on her high heel sneakes and tight skirt and get out there! what's more important - her virtue or your gear? question answers itself, i mean, don' it? ;-)
anyway, on a serious note, two more options: electrix filter factory - i've got one and it's smashing on drums, etc. has MIDI syncable clocks, very nice design (sort of wedge-shaped) so it can fit in a 19" rack or on a desktop. very ruggedly built, too.
second choice: get a doepfer 404. their version of tb303/sh101 in a 1U rack mount with mono input that can be routed to the filter. basically a couple o/t doepfer modules fitted into a 19" case w/ MIDI. i own thtis as well, and it is quite tasty, w/ an almost zen simplicity.
