Here is my minimalistic Studio.

It's primarily designed for Mixing and Sound Production where acoustic quality was of utmost importance, minimal reflection in the nearfield etc. All the quality stuff is ITB

with the 2 screen set up, can you use 2 screens that are different sizes? for example a 19" and say a 15"

Yes of course.

does it not look really really weird? having a smaller and larger screen?

No idea - I'm sorry I thought you were asking if it was technically possible - ie. graphics cards outputing independent resolutions etc.

Not ready for Showtime yet..

My idea is a big stone space (barn)

Untreated one end.

Straw lined with bales at the other, with some kind of acoustic labrynth for "open air" effect

No control room

Recording in the round on cans (like Real World)

Live end / dead end

couple of crappy photos from a mobile and forgive the mess. I also couldn't get far back enough to fit everything in (so it's a dodgy pan left to right).

Cheers

There's actually 2 PCs down there Streety.

I'm currently running the 3 PCs in a network using FX teleport. I'll be adding another machine or two to the setup in the coming year - and some decent monitors

EDIT (just in case you can't see the first pic): I'm assuming the first pic works? (it appears as a cross for me, but on clicking, it shows the pic.) But here it is attached...

DDA Interface. 0Vu threatened him if he didn't take it .... or something ...

More imporantly, is it me or are those monitors wonky.....

I think you''ll find they're wabbit.

(the picture is one Monsieur le Wabbit de Wonky took some time ago..... , and it's the angle dave.... the camera was kind of near the door way at waist height...)

And 0VU certainly didn't threaten me.... merely offer it as an available suggestion.... which I gratefully accepted.... given his dominating position as king of the european DDA mountain.

I found the camera and it's charger recently (thus the pedal board pictures elsewhere, so some new shots will be forthcoming sometime)

Wow, Paul (Johnson Rogers) - beautiful house and studio.

I hope one day I'll have a lovely view like that when I'm writing! I am looking at three huge racks and if I peek really carefully, the laundry room through a gap in the door.

I'll post a pic on monday when I'm officially 'back at work' - we had another daughter this week so I'm chillin for a few days!

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks Max! Yes both are very well. We had a super quick dash to the hospital birth centre as the Mrs managed to get to 9 cm while asleep! She was 12 days overdue and just about to go in to be induced - after three weeks of false starts and contractions - so she was well happy she got to give birth in the pool.

It was all over pretty quick though!

Cheers,

Paul
