Just wanted to say it's very good! Ordered some stuff at 6pm last night,
standard delivery and it arrived an hour and a half ago. All correct as usual. I can
honestly say they have always been good everytime I've used them. Just thought
I'd say something good about someone for once, I'm sure I can't have just been lucky. Digital Village, now that's another story..........

CPC are always good here too - I've probably sent hundreds of orders to CPC and their
parent, Farnell over the years. I've rarely had any problems and any problems that did
arise were quickly sorted out. Farnell even tell you if a part is about to go obsolete so
you can build up a stock of spares (or find an alternative) before it becomes
unobtainable. James.

Yup! Their service and delivery is first-rate...
... only thing that drives me
nuts is trying to find things via the website - not the most user-friendly site to search
I've found.

The Farnell site is usable, unlike the RS one (The most useless search engine ever)!
If you will be spending over £50, mouser is also worth a shot.

Have to agree, they are top. Only thing I find RS good for is when you need a small order
and want to avoid the cpc handling charge. Cpc also send me a nice big catalogue, which
can double up as a handy step, as well as making easy work of locating parts I can't find
on the search engine. Sometimes the old way is still the best. You should get them to send
you out a catalogue Mike then you can just search the part number. Ideal!

Yup! You have to watch that too. Promo/discounted
items are given special codes. If you use the 'normal' code or find the item via the
website you'll pay non-discounted price.

I've noticed that the promo codes are
usually the standard code with 2 digits added to the end so, if there is something in
particular that you are interested in, it might be worth trying a few extra digits. Some
of the price comparison websites now feature CPC and seem to be able to ferret out the
special codes too.

Another big props to CPC here. A year or so ago I bought a 2TB network drive and
being PC dumb could not get it working. CPC technical worked with myself and the supplier
with saintly patience until I was up and flying.
This in great contrast to the
"Hi de Hi!" company from whom I recently bought a small MP3 player. Not only could they
not supply a .pdf of the instruction book ('cos these old eyes could not read the A"50"
included one) but could not (or would not!) supply me with the website address of the
manufacturer so that I could check for drivers, updates etc.
There orta be a
law. Dave.
