Me and the boys (and gal) made a music video

Hi, I'm often on the SOS forums seeking advice about my guitars, Korean
electricity dangers, and recording techniques. My international band of ex-pats
living in South Korea have managed to release an EP and we even made a promo video. The
video was made by some keen amateurs here in Korea using the video function on DSLR
cameras. We think it turned out great. It really captures the spirit of an ex-pat

Good work on the video. Nice editing. If the cameras had video limitations, the results of
that suited the video.
You were showing a cellist when there was no audible
cello?

I heard the cello through basic nearfields but I can imagine it might not come across too
well on small speakers or dodgy buds.
Absolutely excellent. Full of
character, the video and the music. Great recording in the sense that the song came across
well (you need more chords) and the instruments blended into cohesive whole until they
were individually highlighted by the mix and the attentions of the camera. Great drum
sound.
Music plays to everyone's strengths so everything sounds confident,
communication seems natural.
There's far too much smiling, looks like the
snowman was in town (not really).
Mucho enjoyable. Looks like a good pub.
P.S. This might be better in the Production forum where it'll show up on
the front page rather than the Moaning and Obscenity forum where it's (quite rightly)
hidden in a cupboard.

My interface must have a cello filter - I can't hear it through my HD650's.

Can you find out who makes it and post a link - I'll see if they do a version for banjo.

Thanks very much for watching and commenting! I'm really surprised you couldn't hear the
cello, that's the first time I've seen that. Comment. As for the banjo, well I know it's
not to everyone's taste. Thanks again.

Aagh, no. Flippant general anti-banjo remark as a result of
having spent 6 hours sat beside a very good but relentless banjo player at a session the
other day.
There's nothing at all wrong with the banjo (that's our little
secret, ok?)

Yes, they can be relentless. A friend of mine is an excellent
banjo player - traditional jazz style. He seems to like me joining his gigs sometimes on
piano. But there's little point in adding anything except a bass line - he has no concept
of "laying off", and plays exactly the same whether I'm there or not!

Nice job! I like the honesty of this - both the video and audio. A couple of
vocal bits where the tuning is not 100%, but in this style of music that's no big deal. And yes, I can I hear the cello - even on these crappy PC speakers. At
one time I would have curled in horror at the thought of banjo, but now I think they can
really add something special - and this one does. Hope it does well for you,
man!

Vimeo and there seems to have been a problem playing the video a few hours ago. However,
