Hello - just got a new space in my house for vo work and I need a little advice. The space is 7.5 feet long, 6.5 feet high and 3 feet wide. I have enclosed it with sheetrock, green glue, safe n sound insulation and heavy blankets. The ceiling has 2 inch auralex wedges,pyramids and egg-carton shaped foam all mixed together. The ceiling is fully covered but the walls have nothing but heavy blankets on them at this point. are about 1/2 done. I have read in other forums online that a ceiling as low as that can make the room sound boxy. The ceiling is 6.5 feet high and I am 6 feet tall. I plan on finishing the space with more heavy blankets and then I will decide if I should go auralaex or next acoustics to treat the walls. By the way the flooor is covered with carpet. I voiced a sample and I sound really "boxy". Is the acoustic treatment on the walls whats missing at this pointor is that space just too small? I use a laptop, with protools and an at4040 mic. Thanks in advance.

When you have already installed some treatment and are looking for advice on how to go forward we would normally recommend testing your room to find out what is going on and to focus on tackling those freqeuncies causing the most problems
