Ipad Score Presentation Software - Best, Worst, Most Cost-Effective new

Hi,

I'm trying to help a friend who has an Ipad and is an old-fashioned pianist, w/little computer savvy. I'd like to get her Ipad running her scores, so she doesn't need to manually turn pages anymore. What apps do people like and why? Do all need a foot pedal to trigger the next page? What's the most cost effective? She doesn't need all the bells and whistles, just an app that can handle a Bach score.

Avid produce a Scorch app, which reads Sibelius files. So if you have the score in Sibelius format then it'll work fine. On the Scorch app it's a swipe or a tap on the side of the screen to change the page.

Musicnotes website produce a reader app that syncs with your account, and that works pretty well. Page change is a tap on the side of the screen.

These are the only ones that I've used, so after that, you could use any PDF reader. I've not encountered a PDF reader that has been great for using music scores though.

IIRC Scorch on the iPad can use Bluetooth pedals to change page as well, which can be useful, but check with the documentation before doing anything based on my recollection!!

Thanks, guys! I've looked at Scorch on the Itunes store and it looks very good, plus it costs $1.99, so what's to lose? One curious thing is a lot of negative reviews but most of those people seem to have been under the impression that it was a general purpose score/ MIDI player a la Sibelius. Not for $1.99 it's not ;-)
