Apple have just announced that they are increasing european pricing to match that of the
US
it's for the cheapest apps - used to be 69p - now going to be 80p i think (and
whatever that is in euro's)
So that kinda ends the location pricing issue
-
however - most apps seem to have an 'introductory price' - I brought the animoog for 69p
even tho i don't have an iPad yet - just because it was a steal!
it's mainly in
the 3rd party app field that you see different pricing - and i (suppose) that different
territories have different 'needs' which have to be covered (sometimes not allowing said
apps to be sold in some territories) - also taxes are different in various parts of the
world - which reflects in price
there is a valid disscussion around
'on-lie' purchasing of software - because there is no physical product and the internet is
so fast ow - i wonder if we'll be able to circumvent these territorial rules and regs and
buy from anywhere? - would be good to pay less than 20% vat for example!
