Very nice, what hazer do you use or do you use a smoke machine ? We have just brought some moving head beams and couldn't be happier ! They are doing 200m+ with easy..... mind blowing how technology moves on.

I'm just using a smoke machine. A little puddly ass one. I have a Chauvet hurricane 1800 flex that should be arriving any day. I'll see how it goes and maybe move up to a hazer.

Moving heads are my goal this year.

We have brought a few of these http://www.truesoundhire.co.uk/key-products/lighting-effects/sharpy-vizi-m oving-head which are like a cheap sharpy moving head effect.... soooooo bright and will do 200m++ with ease.

Moving heads area getting so cheap now and for not much money you can byt a hell of a lot of kit if you look around.

Nice! Those look like some great moving heads! I'm thinking the Chauvet LED 260's I think gobos etc. I'm in Canada so I don't have access to a lot of the brands there. Those look similar to the blizzard Blades!

I'll see how the smoke machine works out, might end up with a hazer as well. I moved the pin spots from the top bar to the same bar as the rest of the lights. That buys a little more headroom.

I adjusted the pinspots, dropping them to the same beam on the truss as the rest of the lights. This allows for about another foot of headroom, when raising up the whole rig.

I now have iPad and iPhone control.

Got it figured out with some help online.

iPad interface: 4 banks of 25 scenes broken down into groups. Also, main Dimmer control for all fixtures and little details like 3NX Strobe, 3NX color chase, smoke machine control and global blackout.

Second page, global control over 3NX (rear) and Fab5 (band) fixtures! And more...

And iPhone control as well. 4 pages, access to 25 scenes and more, one grouo for each page

Verse
Chorus
Solo
Finish
Master Dimmers
3NX global control
Fab5 global control

Video!!
No smoke, my new smoke machine has not arrived yet.

That fills the 10 foot truss pretty tightly. I have 2 more truss sections. I am going to cut one in half to have two five foot sections. Then I have the option of 10, 15 or 20' of truss depending on the gig. For the 15' ill just spread what's there out a bit, and for the 20' I'll add 4 more Pinspot 360's and 4 more 3 NX's.

I was debating moving heads, but the ones that really put out the beams are bigger than I want to deal with (40 - 65lbs each) so my next move will probably be getting 4 Chauvet Intimidator 300 LED's. they have the gobos, moving prisms and a lot of things the big moving heads so without the bulk in size and weight.e

Looks similar.

I do like the visualizer, but I'm pretty happy with DMXIS

True enough. I'm across the pond in Canada, so I don't know if its available here. I added 4 Martin Minimac Profiles to the rig, pretty happy with the results!!

Lol yeah no kidding hey!

Wrong video, that was with the intimidators. With the MiniMacs I had to pull two of the 3NX's due to space issues.

Here's the new setup:

And the proper video!

Maiden voyage soon of my 20' truss/low ceiling setup:

We are playing this venue on the 20th. As you can see the ceiling is pretty low. This is what we used the last time we played there, back in Nov. old old school.

Here's some scenes from the new setup. Keeping it pretty simple.
11 - 3NX's
4 - Minimac Profiles.

There's a lot to be said for subtlety, but 50 seconds of blue slowly fading to green doesn't make for a real interesting video. I can't be arsed to put it to music.

ANYWAY...

How's it going. I'm still using my Hurricane 1800 Flex. I do have an Antari HZ300 on order.

Soon!

Picked up the Antari HZ300 and another couple DI's (Radials)

Haven't opened it up. I'll probably try it in the basement once or twice, then I'll just use it for gigs. Oil based.

Wow the Antari is great. Totally filled a gymnasium. Newest upgrade, 8' aluminum truss. higher weight capacity, light.

Better.
