I have a few questions. Filling out a split sheet for a DJ/Producer. There was an
artist/writer featured on the track. It is being licensed out to a label but no
publishing is being given up.
Now for the split sheet the Producer/DJ has no
publishing company, but the writer/vocalist does. Is this how the split sheet should be
filled out??
Producer gets 50% of Music ownership and 0% of the Lyrics Vocalist get 50% of the Lyrics and 0 % of the Music = 50 + 50 = 100% of
the full song.
THIS IS FOR THE DJ/Producer Publishing Company (if a 3rd
party is entitled to a % of Publishing, list this party’s information as well): TBD Publishing %: 50
Ownership %: Lyrics
0% Music: 50% (Identify each % of ownership)
THIS IS FOR THE
SINGER/SONGWRITER Publishing Company (if a 3rd party is entitled to a % of
Publishing, list this party’s information as well): Publishing %:
Publishing %: Affiliation: ASCAP BMI SESAC
(Circle one) Ownership %: Lyrics: 50% Music: 0% (Identify
