I found Hugh's Dangerous D Box review very helpful and it was the best option for my studio. Hugh's review on it was superb. Not only did he provide information on the unit, but the pros and cons were discussed in depth. With Cubase having a "Control Room" which provides a separate monitoring for artists where I can add reverb and other effects as well, some of the weakness of the D Box was able to be over come. I found the low end out of my monitors were a lot more accurate with the D Box as the low end was not blurred in comparison with the Central Station.
I
will put a review of the D Box in the Review Section after I spend a little more time with
it. I could have spend another $600 for the upgraded Dangerous with the remote, but I
don't mix 5.1 and many of the features I would not use in my project studio where people
record in the same room as me. Plus the D Box has summing which offers a slight
improvement with the definition of the mixes. Thanks again Hugh for providing great reviews which helps us understand gear better. This in turn helps us spend our money wisely on gear for our studios.
