Just noticed this - 16 channels of ADAT I/O in a 1U Rack package with all the cabling on
the back of the unit. http://www.cwaudio.de/index.php?seite=a16overview&lang=enAnybody using one ? Looks like a good space saver over the Behringer/Alesis 8channel/1U
solutions

But can it handle full duplex (16 D/A conversions simultaneously with 16 A/D
convertions? Quote creamware:
16 high-quality 24-bit/96 kHz AD/DA converters
They don't say 32 converters. By the looks of this spec, they use
16 hybrid converters that can do either AD or DA.

If you look at the images of the unit, it's clearly 16 inputs and 16 outputs, there would
be no point in this unless the device is full duplex!
It's clearly a 16 in 16
out ADAT converter, the equivalent of 2 ADA8000's together. Looks great, the only question
is the s/n specs aren't quoted, so I wonder if it's better or equivalent to the
Behringers.

Yeah... Hans Zimmer! In the SOS
feature you will see several in his racks.
Can't be bad, if he's using them!

the creamware converters are quite decent, a step or two above behringer.
