Wonky MIDI in logic 7 new

Having a bad MIDI day I finally notice that AMT is no longer a part of logic 7.1 (or 6?).

The MIDI is noticably wonky - even at low latency there is no way to completely synch the same sound played concurrently from the EXS and an S3000, e.g. a bass drum on the beat - there is a murderous flaming that appears on some notes that is totally unacceptable to my ears and is leading me to cut each not by hand.

It's at moments like this that I start thinking about an MPC and a multi track tape machine.

Any one any suggestions that don't involve guns?

Hmmm Mine's behaving , but okay...

Run some tests as detailed by Martin walker's articles.

then adjust the Midi timing to suit.....

there are more involved methods and finer adjustment, but My tea has just arrived.........
