Behringer SRC2496 Capabilities
      #153780 - 11/07/05 04:43 PM
Hi all,
I need to convert an Optical ADAT to Optical SPDIF (Toslink) and have been told (By Behringer support) that the SRC2496 can do it. I've downloaded the manual and am a little bit sceptical... Has anyone got one of these and can confirm it can do it? Or any other suggestions for a cost effective alternative?

Thanks...
Bobbo

I don't think the SRC 2496 has ADAT support.... I've just checked the Behringer site... it doesn't. It's samplerate/bit depth converter. it won't help you here.

Thanks Fishy... Thats wot I gathered from the manual, I'm a bit suprised that Behringer support told me that it could and then confirmed it when I questioned their advice.
I'll give it a miss - Looks like a good bit of gear though

B.

A search on the web shows that Terratec EWS88D ADAT SPDIF I/O Card can convert ADAT to SPDIF. Now discontinued but you might pick one up secondhand. There must be other cards out there that do a similar thing. However, you probably want a stand-alone box to do this - right?
