Good virtual instruments to use in Rosegarden?

So I put Ubuntu on my laptop recently, and not too long after that I put on Rosegarden.
It's really nice (in some ways nicer than Cubase) but so far I've found no synths to use
with it, certainly not in the Ubuntu repos anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions for
me?
I've tried Sprial before (just stand alone), but I don't think a modular
synth is going to be lean enough for my rather old 850MHz P3. ZynAddSubFX is *definitely*
out of the question!

You can try outputting the Midi out of rosegarden and into QSynth and download some
soundfonts and such if that is what you want, I do similar when I need to on my audio
stuff anyways, the question is wether or not you will find any sound fonts you like.
There are other options as well, unfortunatly while to my knowledge there is no
equivalent for VSTi short of running it with the LADSPA wrapper directly on linux, there
are a lot of standalone programs that are Jack sompatible making them acceptable
alternatives if you like their sound.
