Problems with Echo Indigo and ENE CB 1410 PCMCIA Cardbus !
      #21626 - 25/09/04 01:25 PM
It seems there is a problem with some new laptop PCMCIA carbuss adapters and the Echo Indigo range.

My laptop has a ENE CB 1410 PCMCIA Cradbus adapter and all sound, regardless of buffer\audio settings etc...is sloooowed dooown...and very distorted.

Upon investigating, some users on the Sonar userforum confirmed the problems with ENE CB 1410 cardbus adapters, and so did my local distributor of Echo cards.

But, apparently Echo has a fix ! I have sent their support forum an email, but I guess they are closed for the weekend.

So, have anyone else experienced this problem ? And\ or anybody know anything about the fix "utillity" ??

Here is a link to the utility:
http://www.echoaudio.com/downloadfiles/Other/EchoEneUtil.exe

I had the same problems and this utility fixed them all!

But the new driver (v6.11) seems to fix this issue as well (without using the utility).

Thanx a lot !!

Will try this asap.

But the problem is definatly present in the 6.1.1 driver, as that is the only driver I have installed for my Echo card.

Alrite then, maybe the new driver uninstaller didn't remove the setting from the EchoEneUtility on my laptop.

Anyway, let me know which filter setting works for you (I recall there are 2 or 3 different settings you can choose from)

Hi,

I had to uncheck the first one.. the "prefetch" thing. Then it worked.

A bit weird Echo haven't included this issue in their "troubleshooting" guide ??

Anyways, it works now, Thanx again.
