Roland JV2080 or XP30 new

I've want to get an XP30 and was wondering is it the same quality as the JV2080? would it be better just to get the 2080

I'd pick the JV-2080 - unless you need a controller, a role for which the XP-30 is suited, too (an external controller box with knobs wouldn't hurt though, 4 sliders isn't that much).

The XP comes with 3 expansions built in already, but most of the JV-2080s on sale already have a number of expansions.

The advantage is that the 2080 has 3 EFX (insert effects) and 2 global effects, while the XP-30 has to work with only one of them. If you have a multitimbral setup which uses a distorted guitar, you can only give the rest of the patches the global effects, unless you want them distorted too.
