Help!!
I can't decide upon which sound card to buy, i don't wan't to buy
into any fads or media hype which is really easy to do nowadays, anyway.
My
setup;
Win XP home
2GB Processor
1024 Ram
Cubase SX
Edirol USb Analogue (Sterio) I/O
Roland DS-90 Speakers
Behringer 4 track
analogue Lexicon FX
Midex 3 (Unplayable latency with cubase sequencer)
(I really need a MIDI I/P to my PC with very low latency and would like to be able to
record as follows)
I only Multitrack record and so need simaltanious record
and playback, What I really need to do is record a dry signal of an instrument onto
cubase, press play on cubase to o/p the previousley recorded dry track, route this to my
fx unit so i can decide on which fx to use in (real) realtime, then send this signal to
cubase again to record.
This all means that i'll have to be playing a track
sending it to fx and recording it at the same time, i'm scared i'l get a feedback loop,
any suggestions on which sound card with how many I/Os and (if needed) cubase
configurations?
I'm willing to spend around £150 and am interested in the
ESI Juli@ sound card but wonder if 1xSterio I/O is enough
