create tempo map - logic Express 6.4 new
      #339341 - 15/08/06 11:14 PM
Way back in Feb 2005 the Logic Notes column in SOS had an article about creating a tempo map from a live performance: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/feb05/articles/logicnotes.htm

Although it sounds rather fiddly it does appear to be just the sort of thing that I might find useful, so after recording a guide tune, I thought I'd follow the instructions as a bit of an experiment. Unfortunately, I don't appear to have the following functions in Logic Express 6.4 'Split Objects By Locators', 'Goto Selection End' or 'Lock/Unlock SMPTE Position', which are required for this technique.

I have searched through the Preferences > Key Commands list, but can't find them, so I'm wondering if they exist for Logic Pro users only? Or if they do exist, if someone could tell me where to find them?

Thanks very much
FMH

You won't find it in Express.
Beat Mapping seems one of the Logic Pro's unique features.

Take a look here

Thanks, but I'm aware that beatmapping isn't part of Logic Express, I was asking about the 'Split Objects By Locators', 'Goto Selection End' or 'Lock/Unlock SMPTE Position' functions, which I can't seem to find in Express.
