Stylus RMX / SAGE Converter / REX Files 24bit problems

I've been using Stylus for a couple of years now- great piece of software- but I'm
increasingly annoyed by the inability of the SAGE converter to recognise 24bit Rex files.
It's fine with 16bit files, but just doesn't seem to see/convert 24bit files. I have the
most up-to-date version of SAGE. At present I have to convert anything I'm Recycling
into 16bit before it'll import into Stylus. It also means I can't immediately import
commercially-produced Rex 2 libraries. I'm running a G5 under OSX 10.4.8 with Logic
7.2. Anyone else have the same experience? Spectrasonics support is non-existent.

I've found Spectrasonics support to be great, in the main.
You can also post
to the "unofficial" Spectrasonics Yahoo groups list, or KVR, or Northern Sounds, where
Eric (Spectrum) and Glen hang out, and they will probably answer you there as well.
I haven't tried converting 24-bit files, sorry...

Ok, they never answered my original email (over a year ago), and I've found nothing that
helps on their website. I've just tried emailing again to see if anyone gets back in
touch...
This problem becomes more serious if you want to import commercial
24bit Rex2 file collections, was wondering if anyone else had tried and had similar
problems.

Thanks, Desmond- this time I had swift replies form Spectrasonics, and we got to the
bottom of the problem over the course of several emails. It turned out I was missing the
"Install Rex shared library" app, and I can now convert 24 bit Rex files with ease.
I'd just like to say that the customer support from Spectrasonics was excellent.

If you're just having problems with their Rex files and other 24 bit Rex files work ok,
try contacting Spectrasonics. Otherwise it may be the same problem I had- you need to
run the "Install shared Rex Library" app. That may clear it up
