Is anyone else being bombarded by emails about the Musicworks convention - billed as the International Cross Media Music Convention? I wouldn't mind one or two just letting me know that it is happening but they're coming in at the rate of 2 a day now. It might be a great event but they need to refine their marketing skills a little if they don't want to piss people off.

You seem to get all the spam James... but their viral marketing ploy has worked... I'm going to look them up and see what I'm missing...

That's what being in all the trade directories seems to get you... and the occasional free subscription to a magazine (which is why I'm not such a regular reader of SOS as I used to be).

I'm having the same problem with MIDEM. Five phone calls in the last week, plus untold spam emails and I already told them I'm not going again ...
